Camarines Sur, Philippines - More than 2,000 Rovers and Scout Leaders have started their journey to Create a Better Word by improving the lives of people in the community. Rovers and Leaders joined the exciting and challenging Community Development Camp (ComDeCa) in various municipalities of the Province of Camarines Sur after the successful opening ceremonies of the 12th National Rover Moot of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines held at Camp Rodriguez Santos, Cadlan-Palestina, Pili, Camarines Sur last October 24, 2017.

The Moot started last Tuesday and culminated on the 28th (Sunday) October 2017 covering Five (5) Municipalities of Camarines Sur, namely: Tinambac, Calabanga, Milaor, Bato and Buhi, with Six (6) Community Immersion Sites and more than Twenty (20) different Community Development Projects such as construction of 10 Public Toilets; 2 Nipa Hut Cottages; Mangrove Reforestation, Tree Planting, Improvised Coconut Bee Hive Production, Construction of Houses for Indigenous People of Buhi, Distribution of Solar GD Lighting system, tagging of various mangrove and tree species, marking of hiking trails for tourists and campers, Coastal Cleanup Drive among others.

The immersion program lasted for three (3) days until the 27th of October by means of rendering an approximate of 48,000 Service Hours by the Rovers and Scout Leaders including personnel from participating partners of the Local Government Units in the Province of Camarines Sur.

The Rover Moot is a regular Programme Feature of Rover Scouting Section of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines which aims to gather all registered Rovers in the country for a week-long of community development projects in far flung Barangays and Communities in rural areas of the host province.

Rovering is a jolly brotherhood and fellowship in the Open-Air and Service. It is a reservoir of future Scout Leaders and a commitment to develop active citizens and capable leaders taking positive actions in the community.

True to its battle-cry "Together We Serve", Rovers creating an impact in their own little ways, despite of diversity in culture and varied dialects from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, no amount of service is too small to accomplish great things by working together for a common purpose - creating a better world.
