The main topic of 2017 World Water Day is “Wastewater”.

The worldwide shortage and unequal distribution of usable/ drinkable water is an increasing issue facing our everyday life.

The need of children and teenager education for protecting and correct usage of water source is indispensable. Hsinchu City Sun-Fun Scouts Group, a community-based scout group, takes action with a "green campaign" on the World Water Day (March 19, 2017)，giving “green” back to the Earth by planting trees - Environmentally friendly.

The theme of the World Water Day campaign is “wastewater- production, prevention, investigation, and recycling”. More than 100 scouts and volunteers participate in this program, with more than 100 native trees being planted on that day to achieve the goal of “One Scout One Tree”.
