Report of Arab Scout Associations' Efforts in Confronting the Covid-19 Pandemic
The efforts included in this report are only glimpses of a great and hard work that will be immortalized by the history of the Scout movement and especially the Arab Scouts at world level.
During the past years, as the world witnessed a great turning point, with the emergence of an imminent danger threatening humanity without discrimination between countries and individuals, everyone is threatened with the same danger, namely the Covid-19 pandemic, and this danger may be the largest and most dangerous at this time, because it threatens human life, and all existence components.
Despite this - and in the midst of the Corona pandemic crisis that is afflicting the entire world at the present time - it contributed to showing the true picture of the scout movement, the extent of the scout organizations ’readiness and ability to organize and the speed of response of the Scout Movement volunteers in serving the community and the nation, as Arab scout societies mobilized their efforts in coordination With the official authorities in their countries, to confront the threat of the Covid-19 pandemic, whether through community awareness, carrying out disinfection and sterilization campaigns, providing support to the needy, or caring and assisting the weak and the elderly.
We have witnessed and are still witnessing the heroic efforts made by the Arab Scout Movement through its male and female leaders during this difficult period, which makes us all proud of the Scout Movement, and its pioneering and wonderful role towards others, which is a further proof of what was included in the goals of the Scout Movement and the method of the Scout movement, confirming to these societies that The Scout movement will remain the first youth movement, and it is one of the most important volunteering institutions concerned with community participation.
We can only express our thanks and appreciation to all members of the Scout Movement, for their contribution and participation in this great and wonderful work, which was a source of light and hope for people to overcome the consequences of this epidemic.
