The First meeting of the National Committee of ASA

The first meeting of new-elected national committee of ASA was held on 15 January 2013.
Ilyas Ismayilli, Abbas Fatullayev, Rufat Valizada, Farid Dargahzada and Aleksandr Metreveli, current members of the National Committee took part in the meeting. The Committee reviewed the action plan and strategy of the Association of Scouts of Azerbaijan as well as deciding to create the working groups for the major activities.

The committee launched the preparation of the yearly calendar for the current year - 2013.
In the meanwhile, it was decided to relaunch the School of Scout Leaders.

Decisions were made to start the following activities:

1. Organise a winter camp in Gakh together with partner Organisation - "Nature Friends"
2. Activities linked to the anniversary of the "20 January" - in the memory of Martyrs.
3. Organise "Kids to Kids" action in order to help infant children.
4. Organise the recruitment activities of ASA on the internet and social networks.

The most important part of the meeting was the allocation of the following positions to the members of the National Committee of the Association of Scouts of Azerbaijan, as stated hereunder:

Abbas Fatullayev - Manager for the International Relations (International Commissioner)
Rufat Valizada - Manager for the Resources and the "Adults in Scouting" program
Farid Dargahzada - Manager for the Youth Program
Aleksandr Metreveli - PR and Communications Manager
Sardar Valiyev - Treasurer
Fuad Babayev - Secretary

Ilyas Ismayilli was selected for the position of President of ASA during the General Assembly held in Baku on 23 December 2012.

It is interesting to note that the majority of the National Committee of ASA consists of youth.

It is important to mention that the Meeting was very productive.
