Luc Panissod receives the Silver World Award

World Scouting’s Secretary General Luc Panissod was presented with the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) Silver World Award by BSA National President Wayne Perry on the occasion of the 64th meeting of the Board of the World Scout Foundation which took place in Turku, Finland on 7 September 2012.

The Boy Scouts of America Silver World Award is awarded in recognition of outstanding service to youth on an international level. Former recipients include Olave, Lady Baden-Powell; Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir; Japanese Emperor Hirohito; King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden; and Pope John Paul II; former President of the Republic of Poland Aleksander Kwasniewski; and several other prominent Scout and non-Scout Leaders.
