Scouting in peace building

Scouts between the ages of 15-18 of Addis Ababa, Adama, Harar and Dire-dawa cities will get trainings on peace education, dialogue skill. They are 640 Scouts from 20 selected Government secondary Schools.  Out of which half of them will be females. Besides, 40 Scout Leaders from the selected 20 school who are the major implementer of the project and 20 Scout leader trainers of which 8 of them are regional and training commissioners of each city administration and regional Scout Council, 8 will be Scout leader trainers from the target region and the rest 4 is from executive committee member and office staff. 
It is expected that there will be 200 participants from Ethiopia and the rest of the world attend the Africa Scout Day celebration camping and the panel discussion. Of which, 50 Scouts from all regions of Ethiopia will be sponsored by this project. These young scouts are between the ages of 15-18 who are activelly participante on different Scouting practices. However, they are from economically weak families who cannot attend any Scout event. Thus, participating on such event enables them to share information, ideas and experience from the different activities will be carried out and the panel discussion will be conducted. So that, they will actively participate on spread the message of peace in their respective place.
