West African NSOs to hold their 5th Zonal Conference

The 5th West African Zonal Scout Conference will take place in Monrovia, Liberia from 26 to 30 May 2009. Under the banner “Scouting and challenges for Sub-Regional Peace and Stability”, the conference will address a number of issues facing the sub region. It is expected that H.E. Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, the President of Liberia, will be the Chief Guest during the opening ceremony.

Lamine Diawara, in charge of Scouting in West Africa, is organizing the meeting in collaboration with the Liberia Scout Association. The Acting Regional Director, Winston Adams, will also be in attendance, together with the Head of Communications, Euloge Ishimwe, who will facilitate a two-day communications workshop aimed at helping NSOs to develop their communication strategies.
