Eurosea 11, the European Sea Scout seminar held 19-23 September 2012 when 41 leaders from 19 countries representing 21 national scout associations and 4 of the worlds regions gathered in Copenhagen for 5 days of networking.

The theme was “How can I support Sea Scouting”.

The event was organised by the Odysseus Group and the Danish host team. The working method was workshops, sharing of “Best Practices”, discussion groups and open forums on selected topics.

During the meeting elections were held to select a new Odysseus Group – Nuno Jacinto Baptista, Kris Bauters, Satu Raudasoja, Ernst-Jan Jacobsen and Benoit Leduc, and decide on who should host the next Eurosea seminar in 2014 – Belgium.

At the end of the seminar it was decided that the Odysseus group would work towards the following goals and report in 2014.

Encouraging Sea Scouts to be more active in JOTA.
Publishing more information about national Sea Scout event.
Update the webpage and the newsletter Euronalt.
Renew the Sea Scout Ambassador programme.
Promote Sea Scouting at IMO London and at the European Scout Conference, Berlin 2013.
Make a collection of Sea Scout logos and badges as used in Europe.
Look at the possibility of offering specialised training courses to the Arab Region in the spirit of the Marrakech Charter.
