42nd World Scout Conference Resolutions, draft objectives of the World Triennial Plan 2021-2024 and Constitutional Amendment
I am pleased to share with you the Resolutions which were adopted by the 42nd World Scout Conference. Some of these Resolutions include a call to action for Member Organizations, so I kindly ask you to bring them to the attention of your national leadership at the earliest possible moment.
I am also pleased to share with you the amended draft objectives of the World Triennial Plan 2021-2024 as approved by the Conference. Resolution 2021-03 Strategy for Scouting – World Triennial Plan 2021-2024 referred to these draft objectives and was also approved during the voting session. The draft objectives of the World Triennial Plan 2021-2024 will now be considered by the World Scout Committee alongside the other Resolutions and outcomes of the Conference and to develop a final version of the World Triennial Plan 2021-2024. The final version of the plan will be shared with National Scout Organizations once approved by the Committee no later than 31 December 2021.
In addition, the Conference approved an Amendment to the Constitution of WOSM, declaring that NSOs must meet Safe from Harm standards as a formal membership requirement. A new 2021 edition of the WOSM Constitution will be shared in the next period with all National Scout Organizations.
The key outcomes and decisions from the Conference can also be found on scoutconference.org/outcomes in the five WOSM languages in the coming period.
