The Climate Reality Project Leaders from Spain have just announced the winners of their Climate Leader Award, an initiative through which they aim to recognize individuals and entities acting on climate emergency in Spain. Among them, Scouts de España ASDE will be awarded during the 3rd Edition of the Awards as Youth Climate Personality of the Year.

The Climate Reality Project is an initiative created by the former Vice President of the United States and Nobel Peace Prize winner, Al Gore, in order to fight against climate change. Its goal is to promote actions against the climate crisis.

Scouts de España ASDE will receive the award for having promoted the cause of environmental protection among youth for decades and for contributing to educate thousands of young people to love and respect nature.

"This award encourages us to keep up the great work and confirms that we are heading in the right direction” said Elena Cabezas Alcalá, President of Scouts de España.

“These are not easy times, but if there was anything that would define us as Scouts, it would be our ability to overcome difficulties. Our resilience will continue to drive us to leave this world a little better than we found it. Young people at large and young Scouts in particular, have a lot to give and a lot more to say” she added.

The Award Ceremony will take place on Wednesday 24 March at 7 pm CET and will be live streamed directly via the Climate Leaders Awards website.
