"Messengers of Peace - Back to Basic" Webinar Series
On 27th - 29th November 2020, MoP Malaysia held a webinar series "Messengers of Peace - Back to Basic" at 8:30 pm to 10:30 pm which attended virtually by MoP State Coordinators and MoP Ambassadors, National Training Team Representatives and National Programme Team Representatives. This program was conducted through the Zoom Platform webinar and at the discretion of MoP Malaysia this online workshop has been broadcast live on FB Live by the Scouts Association of Malaysia to provide an opportunity for all scout members and leaders to join, adding knowledge and review content in the Messengers of Peace initiative.
The first session was held on November 27th, 2020 with the topic of Introduction to Messengers of Peace & How to get started !. As suggested in the event title of “Back to Basic”, this session is to allow people to get a general idea and a little bit of history or background of Messengers of the Peace initiative. This session was broadcast through Facebook Live and has a high response rate of 2900 views.
Next, November 28th 2020, sharing session which focuses more on Storytelling & Uploading Guidelines on scout.org. This session is to help scouts and leaders to better understand how the right and appropriate way to upload a picture and a story that takes place. This session was broadcast through Facebook Live and has a high response rate of 1900 views.
The last session was on November 29th, 2020, with the discussion topic of the Roles and Responsibility of the MoP Coordinator and Ambassador. This session was successfully handled by the regional office, Miss Kate Aranzamendez that help enlighten scout leaders on their role and responsibilities that come with their title as Coordinator and Ambassador or peace.
This webinar series has been successfully carried out without any problems, and able to reach out to 14,100 people within three (3) days of the event which consist of scouts and non-scouts that interested to know the Messengers of Peace initiative through Facebook Live.
