Souts Association of Malaysia, Sabah Branch (PPMCS) aims to engage the Sandakan community and attract parents, families and youths to Scouts Nature park (SNP). This will familiarise these stakeholders with Scouting and holding generate support for Scouting and its efforts. After careful observation and deliberation on this matter, PPMCS has introduced SNP Petting Zoo and Rabbit Garden specifically to attract parents, families and youths. This attraction is specifically aimed at promoting community scouting and provides ample opportunities for these stakeholders to ask and satisfy their curiosity about Scouting.

Preparatory works started April 17th, 2019 by 23 PPMCS Rovers and Scout leaders supervised by State Chief Scout Commissioner Datuk Dr. Awang Zaini Suntim. Rovers and Scouts contributed to fund a small batch of 50 kittens of 6 varieties (a baby rabbit is called a kitten or kit for short). This attraction was launched August 31, 2019 with support from Sabah Veterinary Services Department, and housed 50 rabbits. Sabah Veterinary Services Department will routinely inspect the health and care of the rabbits at SNP.
