Interamerican Scout Network Meetings- Central American Subregion

The networks are a space for interconnection and construction of knowledge in which the National Scout Organizations (NSO) are the protagonists into achieve the objectives of the Regional Plan: Common Mission, Individual Commitment.

 

During May 3-5, the members of the Central American Subregion were summoned to participate in the first network meeting in Guatemala. The meeting had 30 participants from: Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Mexico and Costa Rica.

 

The agenda included special solo network working time for: Youth, Youth Programme, Adults in Scouting, Institutional Development and Communications; In addition the agenda also included joint meetings between networks to achieve common goals.

 

The participants at the meeting recognized the importance of  understanding the strategic areas in a National Scout Organization in order to take joint actions that strengthen the results within the NSOs.

 

We also thanks  the hospitality of the Scouts of Guatemala, who hosted the event their “Campo Escuela” San Jorge Muxbal, in Guatemala City.
