Interamerican Community Projects Expo

Do you want to share your project with other young people or learn about projects that other young people are leading in their countries around the Interamerican Region?

Join us at the 1st Interamerican Community Projects Expo. This is a space where youth will learn and share about projects, initiatives, and ideas they are developing in their countries individually or in groups.

We are excited to see you in virtual mode on Saturday, May 6, 2023, from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon (Panama City time).

 

To become a participant you must be between 18 and 26 years old and belong to one of the National Scout Organizations of the Interamerican Region.

Showcasing your going project is also a benefit of the ExpoPro, you must register in advance at the following link, entering information about your project. It is important that before registering you review the following participation requirements:

  • Be between 18 and 26 years old at the time of the Expo.
  • Have current registration in a National Scout Organization of the Interamerican Scout Region.
  • Your project must have taken place in the last 12 months, be underway or about to start.
  • Your project must have been designed and implemented by young people, developed at a regional, national or local level. Projects developed in teams or individually can apply.
  • Your project must include service actions with demonstrable impact on the community.
  • Your project must have actions under one of the following working areas:
    • Environment and sustainability: Address specific issues to deal with climate change, promote sustainable habits towards healthy and ecological lifestyles, and connect with nature and protect it through sustainability.
    • Health and wellbeing: addressing resilience in people for their physical, mental and social well-being.
    • Peace and community engagement: addressing the problem of resilient communities and sustainable development through the participation of people in decision-making and conflict resolution processes.
    • Skills for life: Address skills development in young people to prepare them for a productive life.
