Young people comprised of Scouts and non-Scouts expressed their views and ideas during the National Youth Forum held on 20 November 2018 organised by The Bharat Scouts & Guides. A total of 234 young people engaged in the forum discussions with the support of 42 adults.

The forum is an interactive platform for young people to share their knowledge and learnings as well as express their views and ideas on relevant issues that directly affect them.

Activities opened the door for the implementation of the World Scout Youth Involvement Policy and heightened the young people’s awareness of their role in decision-making processes. The Forum also opened the opportunity for building capacity and sharing the Messengers of Peace Programme.

In addition, the Forum resulted to the drafting of a National Youth Forum Guideline of The Bharat Scouts & Guides, making use of the experiences of its nine youth representatives at the 9th Asia-Pacific Regional Scout Youth Forum held in Manila in 2018, as well as the election of Mr Ritesh Agarwal to the APR Young Adult Members Group for the term 2018 -2021.
