From 14th to 16th December 2018, the UPM scout members held a camping trip at the scout camping site in Semenyih. The scout members reach semenyih in the afternoon and camp sites and tents were pull up. The scout members were then gathered for a short briefing before the scouts were brought for their first activity which is ice breaking. After that, marching were taught to the juniors using their staff and the ones with not. At night, junior scouts were taught and practice on basic ropes while seniors were doing the advance ones. Around 12 in the midnight, the vigil session was conducted and all the UPM juniors were now recognized as the rover UPM scouts.
The next morning, the junior scouts were to do survival cooking while the seniors were doing high bed, traps and resting area for the examples of the juniors. After the cooking, the juniors were making their gadgets and towers but unfortunately, due to the rain, their towers were delayed to another time. At night, after a brief intro on airscouts studies, the scout campfire was conducted. Singing and dancing were performed by scout members of all ages as they enjoyed their time.
On the last day, compass and staff were used in calculating the width of rivers, the velocity of the streams and the height of a specific tree chosen by the scout teams for their task given. We went by foot to the nearest forest conserver in semenyih which is a walk away. In the afternoon, scout members were then pack their bags and a closing ceremony was held to end the event. Once all the juniors were given badges and certificates for all the participants, the scout members were drove back to UPM by bus.
