One WSB Staff meeting
The One WSB staff meeting took place from 15 to 20 January 2018 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. With the start of a new triennium, the roll out of the WSB Thematic Teams, and the WOSM Service Model, this meeting was an excellent opportunity to align the work of WSB support centres and provide a strong focus for all on Vision 2023.
With a total of 107 staff members attending and participating in a five-day meeting devoted to two key components: team-building and ensuring a spirit of unity, and strengthening our cross-support centre collaboration through thematic teams. The meeting evaluation has shown that it was very successful in reaching its objectives. The One WSB staff meeting served as a spring-board for our six thematic teams. It enabled them to accelerate their work and advance joint plans, based on the One WSB Master Operational Plan. These, in turn, form the basis for individual staff goal setting and appraisal.
The meeting lasted five days, with the first half focusing on joint work and building unity in the One WSB, while the second half was an opportunity for Thematic Teams of the WSB to meet and prepare their work plans for the next two years.
The meeting evaluation showed overwhelming satisfaction of staff with the meeting, noting that it has achieved its objectives and enabled staff to strengthen relationships across teams.
