Taiwan Scouts offered a Leave No Trace Awareness Workshop to Taiping Primary School in Hualien, Taiwan

The White Stag Project Taiwan, a scouting organization aimed to encourage Youth-Leading scouting practice and high-adventure activities for Youth Leadership Training, arrange a Leave No Trace Awareness Workshop to Taiping Primary School, which is located in a Bunun aboriginal community in East Taiwan.

24 school boys/ girls attend this event to learn about the 7 principles of Leave No Trace Outdoor Ethics.

The workshop was facilitated by 5 instructors including 1 adult Master Educator and 4 youth Trainers.

The workshop began with an Bunun nursery rhyme "Come here, fireflies". The lyric of this song is like below in English

Come here come here come here, fireflies
The water there is bitter and the water here is sweet
So come here come here come here come here, fireflies

Youth instructors appreciate Bunun's ecology thinking from this song. They encourage the school boys/ girls to be proud of it and leverage Leave No Trace minimum impact techniques for promoting conservation in the outdoors.

The White Stag Project Taiwan is a partner of Leave No Trace Center of Outdoor Ethics. All the activities comply with LEAVE NO TRACE AWARENESS WORKSHOP GUIDELINES.
