Meals in Memory on Mandela Day

21st Jul 2014

On July 18, 2014, South Africans marked the first Mandela Day since the anti-apartheid icon's death with a government call to clean up their country.

The 1st Bothasig Scout Group from Scouts South Africa were not left out. They went to the Canal Walk Shopping Centre where they volunteered to feed 5000 starving pre-schoolers as part of an event organized by Stop Hunger Now South Africa a non-governmental organization under the banner ‘Meals in Memory’.
