Singapore’s National Patrol Camp

The Singapore Scout Association organized its National Patrol Camp held from 28 Nov to 2 Dec 2013 at Sarimbun Scout Camp with an overwhelming participation of 53 patrol units, involving 48 schools.

NPC is a national event held once in two years.

An integral part of the NPC was the pitching of Scouting skills among the competing teams. A total of 11 items were included in the competition: Camp Standard; Camp Development; Gateway; Pioneering; Backwoodsman Cooking; Campfire Skit; Camp Cook; Orienteering; First Aid Theory Test; Scouting Element; Scout Quiz

The breakdown of the competition results were Gold (18), Silver (26), Bronze (8) and Certificate of Participation (1).

SSA’s National Programme Commissioner Mr Malcolm Tan Ban Hoe officiated the camp.
