what do you think is scouting is working for others today??

12th Jan 2014

we have the topic for community service in scouting and we have gone through many hikes, services , CD projects but do you think is this really leading the society in a good way ??
i don't think so because today our organisation is doing so for awards only... only for images.... only for something in return....... so please it s my request to you all that help us all to make this organisation as much as superior so that when we put our uniform and goes into market then people will say "ya this is a special organisation and we can trust blindly on this organisation"....... so please let's hold our hands and make our every effort to make this organisation a huge success..........

In my opinion there are some goals for all scouts in the world, based on the wel known thoughts. Like peace, respect, nature etc. But how to get to those goals differ per country and probably per region or group. The problems in India are totaly different then in the Netherlands of South Africa. So you have to create another scouting for that.
That there are similarities is proven on the World Jamborees, but it has also learned me the big differences.
I believe Scouting is already a big succes as beeing the biggest organisation and fullfilling (most) needs in the different countries.
In the Netherlands we have a very traditional image that we want to change to something more modern. But im sure i would me ashamed if I would introduse that scouting to You in India, becouse that modern scouting dous not fit in Your needs.

So This is totaly no answer in your question, but it points out that we cannot reach the goal in general (if you want to reach it). In my country we are recognised to be a great youth organisation on some specific fields and that is where we do get our 'rights to exist' from.
