For the first time, representatives of all Regional Decision Committees (RDC) of the Messengers of Peace Initiative came together in one place for a dedicated training session. The training, prepared by the WSB MoP team, took place in Kuala Lumpur in May 2016.
A total of 18 participants, representing all six RDCs, took part in the training. The key output of the training are the newly adopted Terms of Reference for RDCs – a global document all participants have worked and agreed upon, regulating the work of RDCs. Furthermore, the participants discussed the results of the mid-term evaluation and planned changes in the framework of the MoP Global Support Fund, including new application form and guidelines and new reporting documents. The participants underwent also a basic training in impact assessment and evaluation.
The training was very well received among all participants. The opportunity to exchange ideas and have an open dialogue among participants coming from different Regions proved to be very useful – many issues could be solved, and new opportunities for cooperation arose.
