JAMKAH México 2012

Mexico City, 12 July, 2012. As every 4 years the Scout Association of Mexico held the Venturers National Jamboree, from 21 to 28 July 2012, now in the beautiful state of Quintana Roo located southeast of the Mexican Republic.
This place is one of the major hot spot of biological and cultural diversity in the world also has a great significance to the big cities have hosted wonderful representative of the Mayan Culture. That is why on this occasion is called this event "JAMKAH" colloquial synthesis which means "People of the Jamboree" in Mayan.

The JAMKAH aims to bring participants through the implementation of the Educational Scout Youth Programme,to develop skills to strengthen its growth areas. "Our mission was to perform a program for 8 days and full of challenging activities that promote adventurous each venturer is in constant search for balance with self, others and the environment - in a conceptual framework of environment, development and peace", said in a interview Lorena Gudiño - Chief Scout.
They have provided experiential learning every day to stop a real experience to the community of venturers: Natural Adventure (an encounter with the nature of Caribbean Sea) Cultural Adventure (through a walk of discovery), Personal Adventure (development of skills and service to the community), Extreme Adventure (through a command track and parking challenges) and Global Adventure (create awareness of our role in a global schema), Lorena Gudiño commented.
The participants in the 2012 Jamboree will be concentrated in the Camp School San Jose , where they have since the lifting of their tents to show their skills to be part of the camps: Earth, floating high, details of which remain a challenge to find venturers from all over Mexico and some other countries
The event will feature over more than 1,300 people, including registered attendees and support staff. The closure of this camp will be held at the beautiful site of Xcaret, with the presence of the Governor of Quintana Roo, and personalities of the Scout Association of Mexico and leaders of other sectors.
