Educational Methods Seminar - Youth Programme for English-speaking associations.

From 28 to 30 September was held the Educational Methods Seminar in the area of Youth Programme aimed at English-speaking associations.

With this seminar conclude successfully the meetings scheduled for this year, whose central aim was to know what is the level of implementation of the Youth Programme in the NSOs in the Region, as well as progress in the construction of the Youth Programme Regional Policy. The Scout Association of Guyana was the host of this meeting, which was attended by 12 representatives of the scouts associations from St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Grenada, Trinidad and Tobago, and Guyana.
The topics covered during the meeting were: analysis of the Mission, Vision and Cause of Scouting, evolution of Youth Programme, roles and structure of the National Youth Programme Team, functions and features of scout leader who works with young people, needs and interests of youth in the Caribbean, design of educational activities, the Scout method applied in the different units, youth involvement, and an overview of the functioning of the rover community.
