Be a Bridge Builder!

22. nov 2013

From putting up library centers and inviting children and young people read them, BOOKBRIDGE is now linking people around the world.

Since its start as a pilot project in 2009 in Mongolia, the World Organization of the Scout Movement has been helping BOOKBRIDGE in its vision to make education free and accessible to all. Today, with the help of WOSM, BOOKBRIDGE has put up 10 libraries in different parts of Mongolia and two libraries in Cambodia.

WOSM has been helping BOOKBRIDGE identify the countries which are in need of libraries and provide access through its network of National Scout Organizations. At regional, national and local level, Scouts are sent out to help in collecting, sorting, shipping and distributing books in various educational and learning centers.

So are you now interested to be bridge builder? Here is how…

BOOKBRIDGE came up with the so called “Fellowship Program” where it will enhance your skills in a totally different environment and contribute towards the development of one of our learning centers.

As Scouts, this is surely a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
