The three Scout Associations in Bosnia-Herzegovina have finalised the draft of a common Youth Programme which will be submitted at the next general assembly for approval. An important step in the development of Scouting in that country, worth a three minute feature during the prime time news show of the local television channel in Brčko.

In her remarks, the presenter referred to a meeting which had taken place during the last weekend of October 2013. A group of key representatives from Savez izviđača Bosne i Hercegovine (Scout Association of Bosnia-Herzegovina), Савез извиђача Републике Српске (Scout Association of Republika Srpska) and the hosting Savez izviđača Distrikta Brčko (Scout Association of Brčko District) had gathered to finalise the development of a common educational plan of work for the different age sections.

A number of Leaders from the different associations were interviewed. In their statements, the Leaders underlined the positive spirit, common goal and mutual understanding, which had marked the year-long process, and applauded the outcome. Jordan Bajraktarov from the European Regional Office of the World Scout Bureau, who had supported and accompanied the three associations during the various project phases, also gave a comment. The drafting of a common Youth Programme was part of a project supported by WOSM's Messengers of Peace initiative: "Give Our Children Chance to be Scouts”. In a participative and consultative approach comments and contributions from Groups of the three associations from across the country had been sought and then fed into the draft, which was now ready for final approval.
