Greetings from Rowallan camp (Kenya, Kibera). Thanks East Africa for hosting me for the third time, I'm very impressed and grateful. Since 7th dec 2015, we have started the eastern zone forum which I attended as chairperson of africa scout youth forum. The closing ceremony was nice and as we all expect, we had good deleberations and informatives sessions. The most important thing we do is to interact and work as a team. I find news friends and that is the best gift I can get. I'm learning a lot from this strong zone and I hope all of our zones in Africa will take it as example. That means we have to stop with conflicts of interest. I wish you East Africa to keep it up !!! The eastern zone youth committee made some good resolutions and recommandations and I really hope that the conference will seriously take it in account as they easily adopt. For those who are confused about the youth forum role, I would like to mention that it's the young scouts official platform to express their needs, to have trainings/sessions during some days, to discuss about their issues and to find solutions which are theirs resolutions in order to be involve and take an active part in scouting. It's an executive board not an implementation board. In this case , as we agree that scouting it's a youth movement their decisions have to be implemented by each NSOs through Youth program. I used to say that in Africa it's not easy to be young. Youth aren't born to fight old people, they are like a support and adults have to guide them by developing a mentorship system in order to insure a great future. How can you work for someone without him??? It's a Non sense. We are a part of the team !!! Sometimes I ask myself : Will I do the same things when I will grow? I'm sure that I won't. It seems like youth are useless and it's enough we need change. That's why I really and fully believe in this Africa Committee, they've already started a great job because I'm officially the regional youth representative and i can sit and give some points of view on behalf of scout youth during the meeting. KUDOS Scout Dr-Davis !!! I'm proud and very excited to be a part of your Revolution team... We will achieve something as well as I know you believe in youth capacities. For me it was a great moments...My host also give me chance to go to Nyeri where i paid tribute to our founder Baden Powell. It was very funny and an emotional time for me because one of my big dream becomes reality. I presented the Africa Scout Youth committee strategic plan to them with the support of my chief Jonathan Jacala in charge of youth program at regional level. I would like to finish by some congratulations words to My host Grace Michuki and the eastern zone youth committee (murtadhwa, pauline, medrine, fabian, jude,Kiplagat T. Willie, gasore, ...) Thanks for taking care of me. They are funny, and i still having fun... Thanks Kenya, Burundi, Rwanda, Uganda, Tanzania, South Sudan and Ethiopia... Special thanks to ARO staff, chief antony kitonga and Frederic Kama-Kama, they are so inspiring and make me feel at home... May God bless you. Now I'm waiting the committee members for our first official meeting. Proud to be SCOUT
