The World Organization of the Scout Movement is shocked by the terrorist attacks that took place in Paris this evening. This is against all that Scouting and humanity believe in and stand for. In this moment of unrest, we urge all to remain calm and stay safe. Our thoughts and prayers go out to those families affected by this tragedy. May your Faith help you through this difficult time. As Scouts and Messengers of Peace, this is the time for us to press on with our efforts on peacemaking, being a friend and brother to all, no matter what race, religion, nationality, class and creed, to create a better world across borders. We have been informed that all participants attending the Scouts of the World Award seminar currently taking place in Paris from 12 -15 November are safe. We are in touch with colleagues there.
