National Seminar “Essential characteristics of Scouting"

Right before the National Conference of the National Scout Association of Moldova (NSA Moldova), on the 29-30 October, took place at Vadul lui Voda, Moldova- the national seminar “The Essential Characteristics of Scouting”. Viorica Harea, responsible for training system in NSA Moldova, conducted the training. All scout leaders, delegates to the Conference participated at the seminar. As well, from WSB Eurasia were present Iurie Emilian and Doina Postica, and from the Regional Scout Committee- Valentina Ursu, responsible for Educational Methods working group at the regional level. This seminar is the first one to take place in the Eurasia region, as a follow up to the recommendations made by the regional trainers, who met at the regional seminar in Minsk, to conduct national seminars with the theme “Essential Characteristics of Scouting” in all Eurasia NSOs.
The content of the national seminar was the following:
-mapping of current problems and challenges of NSA Moldova
-identification of needs
- short description of the main findings at the regional seminar from Minsk
- detailed analysis of the document itself “Essential Characteristics of Scouting”- work in groups, and then work in the plenary with the findings of the groups- differences in the Program delivered and educational methods used by the leaders from NSA Moldova and the ones written in the document
-conclusions, and preparation for the resolutions and Strategy to be adopted at the National Conference
