On 5 October, President Giorgi Margvelashvili of Georgia met with the official delegation from WOSM, led by its Secretary General, Scott A. Teare.

The delegation included Eurasia Scout Committee Chairperson, Irina Pruidze; Regional Director of the World Scout Bureau Eurasia Support Centre, Iurie Emilian; President of the Geogrian Organization of the Scout Movement (GOSM), Giorgi Khvinteliani; and Secretary General of GOSM, Tinatin Koyava.

The President emphasised on the importance of the mission of Scouting and the work carried out by the Movement in the nurturing of a dedicated, educated and value-oriented generation, which is healthy, both physically and mentally.

Both leaders discussed the role of Scouting in the development of youth leadership and the foundations of democracy, which is beneficial for the state and its society. The meeting also covered the development prospects of the Scout Movement in Georgia.
