Are you interested in learning more about solar energy and discovering new ways to use it in your everyday life? Then use the Scouts go Solar handbook to get started. At the end of your discovery, you can earn the Scouts go Solar badge! We invite you to get active and use the power of the sun. Maybe you can find solutions for your own life or your community. At the end, every saved or renewably produce unit of energy means less pollution and a better future for all of us. We invite you to share about solar energy. Tell everyone what you have experienced. Show how you use the power of the sun. And invite them to join you. Get inspired on scout.org, and then inspire others by also sharing your own projects on this platform. We invite you to help others to follow your example and find their own unique way of using solar energy. Be an inspiration for others and support them as much as you can.

First Training of Scout Solar Ambassadors at Kandersteg International Scout Centre (KISC)
The Scouts Go Solar project (SGS) is an environmental partnership between the World Organization of the Scout Movement, Greenpeace and Solafrica, a Swiss NGO, working in close collaboration with the Kandersteg International Scout Centre (KISC) in Switzerland. There they gained practical experience on how to organize and run solar energy activities with children and young people and on basic solar energy principles, including self-assembling of a solar torch for Scouts, a do-it-yourself solar suitcase for camps and a solar campfire. They were then encouraged to bring the projects back to their own organizations. -
