1000 Mangrove Trees Planting project is one of Exabytes Group Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project to educate its employees and customers on the bigger picture of the coastal ecosystem that contributes to building a sustainable development of mangrove ecosystem.
To explore the skills and technique of conducting Mangrove Trees Planting project for our future voluntary service, we were attending a 1000 mangrove trees planting project initiated by Exabytes Group.
Early in the morning, we as volunteers of this project, helping PIFWA members to make arrangement for the program.
After a short briefing about mangrove saplings planting and safety issues in the site, we help them to teach all the participants the way to wear waterproof boots and gloves. Then, we headed out to a roped off area that had been cleared of brush. We work hard together with Exabytes staff and PIFWA members to remove the mangrove saplings from poly bags, digging, placing them into the holes and stomping mud over the top. We done our good job of planting 1000 mangrove saplings into the ground.
