Sudanese Scouts promptly responded to combat the floods that hit the country recently. They are contributing with great efforts to help the state provide relief and assistance to people affected by this natural disaster. The Sudanese Scouts formed a number of emergency rooms and early warning teams for rapid intervention, in addition to field survey groups. These are called the emergency Scouting and support teams who determine direct damage by specialized methods to provide salvage for the harmed people and deliver food and first aid, according to the available Scout leaders, with the presence of trained medical professionals for such emergency cases.

The goal of the team is to reflect the principles, values, and preparedness of the Scout Movement in fulfilment of the duty towards God, the duty towards the country, and the duty towards others at all times, in application of the Rovers' slogan “community service and development”. The team consists of Scout groups in various specialties, including 450 leaders with full preparedness and high spirit, taking advantage of the presence of the Scouts with extensive experience and employing their capabilities in confronting any emergency.
The team was divided into a number of sectors in 7 basic areas at this stage. Specialized groups respond to different roles, as inland Scouts work in ground work, in addition to providing first aid to the injured until medical support arrives.

Air Scouts work with the Air Force to intervene, lead airdrops and aerial survey of the affected areas, and execute spraying operations. Sea Scouts are stationed through boats and available tools in cooperation with bodies of water and civil defense forces to carry out evacuation operations in the affected areas.
Technical Scouts work to link the team at the state level to the relevant authorities and connect all team members via wireless devices during the evacuation. The environmental Scouts working in the areas are related to awareness, control and environmental sanitation during the period of disasters.
Scouts also carry out awareness-raising campaigns, establishing dams to hinder the flow of water, in cooperation with the civil defense forces, distributing food to those affected by the catastrophe and removing their belongings away from the stream of flood. A workshop for Scouts was organized by specialists to learn about how to combat malaria and how to avoid the risk of snakes and scorpions.
