Boy Scouts of Bahrain integrates Individuals with Disabilities into its Programs
The Boy Scouts of Bahrain has been keen on paying great attention to raise awareness of the disabled on the risks and preventive measures of the novel Coronavirus using sign language in both Arabic and English, since the outbreak of this global pandemic. In this vein, “No Disability Hinders Will” initiative was launched by the Boy Scouts of Bahrain to integrate the disabled into society and develop their self-esteem.
The Boy Scouts of Bahrain participated with 200 scout leaders and volunteers in the national campaign under the slogan “together for the safety of Bahrain” to support woman and Bahraini families in cooperation with the Supreme Council for Woman. Scouts played a field role in delivering in-kind contributions, including health and consumable requirements and basic needs, to households of female breadwinners and families of frontline healthcare workers.
From the outset of Covid-19 pandemic, the Boy Scouts of Bahrain focused on its informative role in raising awareness of nature, risks, ways of spread and preventive measures of the disease on social media platforms. Moreover, the Boy Scouts of Bahrain took part in sterilizing the buildings of the Ministry of Education.
The Boy Scouts of Bahrain proves a distinguished presence with its members in the fight against this global challenge, using the scout method and in line with accomplishing the objectives and principles of the scout movement.
