Saluton. Esperanto scout is looking for one. The volunteer must be able to speak reasonable good Esperanto.

Volunteers are working at the International Service Team (IST).

You do NOT need to speak Esperanto. That's stupid!

Wake up, I am talking about the Esperanto scout booth. Please respect Baden Powell calling to learn Esperanto. Esperanto scout sponsors 200 Euro for the volunteer. You are from Germany, contact the Germany Esperanto Association. Don't abuse the language if your English is not good.

Sorry Onklo, you are right: if you work for Esperanto as a volunteer, you of cause have to speak it. But in general Esperanto is not needed for volunteering or IST at the world jamboree. By the way: Baden-Powell does NOT call scouts to learn Esperanto, he just offered it as an idea for scouts who want to learn a "secret language" - and that is what it (still) is.

Do read UNESCO resolutions 1954 and 1985, especially 1985 which called all NGOs to use Esperanto. Is scout movement a NGO ? When our beloved BP was alive Esperanto was not being widely researched. He therefore suggested it. How good vision is our beloved BP. But, politicians turn things ugly.

I hope you can go to the Esperanto Town in your country to take a look of the information from the world organisation. More than 75% of the people in the world do not speak a word of English.BBC reported that.

Search Malaysia Esperanto Studies Group for more as the website is not able to appear. mesg2012 punkto blogspot punkto com.

Esperanto has 30% of German language, and I am able to read some of the German language now.
