We are pleased to announce that the 19th Asia-Pacific Regional Scout Photo Contest (2020) is now open. This year’s theme is “Diversity and Inclusion in Scouting.”

Diversity and Inclusion is one of the Strategic Priorities of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) under Vision 2023. Over the years, WOSM has made efforts to make Scouting inclusive by valuing the diversity of local and national communities. Scouts and young adults in Scouting have been involved in significant projects that are making a great impact in their communities and raising Scouting’s profile in this area. Through photos, we are giving life to the work that Scouts are doing across the world.

  1. Diversity. The concept of diversity encompasses recognising people as individuals, understanding that each one of us is unique, and respecting our individual differences. Recognising diversity in Scouting involves valuing and having regard for everyone, and using those differences to create cohesive and diverse local, national and global communities.
  2. Inclusion. Inclusion implies valuing diversity of individuals, giving equal access and opportunities to all and having each person involved and participating in activities to the greatest extent possible.

Interested Scouts are requested to submit their entries, duly endorsed by the National Scout Organization (NSO) to the following emails:, or All entries will be judged independently by a carefully selected, competent pool of internationally acclaimed photographers.

Deadline of submission of entries is extended until 30 April 2020, Thursday.

For more details, kindly refer to APR Circular No. 04/2020, or to the documents below.
