An overnight hike was carried out by 12 of Rana Paratap Scouts as a part of their Rajyapuraskar Testing at a place called Sadugudu Madugu, Nagari, Border of Tamil Nadu and Andhrapradesh.

THe place chosen was a beautiful hillock which the children enjoyed very much.

The objectives of the overnight hike were

- to explore nature and learn outdoor skills

- to undertake a small cleanliness drive in the spot which was reportedly littered by tourists in the weekends.

An advance party contacted the local municipal office and seeked permission. We also informed them regarding the cleaning initiative. 

Feeling happy about the initiative, the municipal office provided gadgets for cleaning. The boys enjoyed the beauty of nature, enjoyed their pair cooking and also gave their effecient hand in cleaning a part of the hillock. Seeing their interest and the effort, the municipal office gave an extra appreciation certificates for the scouts and also deputed a permanent employee in the site. They also helped in installing a board saying "Thanks in advance for not littering".

It was an indellible joyous experience for the scouts.
