Thirty-three Scouts and six Scout Leaders and Rovers from Korea, Japan and The General Association of the Scouts of China, gathered at the Gongguan community in Tainan, for the 6th CJK Venture Cooperative Project last 1-7 August 2018.

Launched in 2012, the partnership project aims to provide opportunities for Scouts from the The General Association of the Scouts of China, the Korea Scout Association and the Scout Association of Japan to work on community development projects in an international environment, while fostering solidarity and international understanding. The services under this partnership project ranges from primary health care to nature conservation.

Every year, a partner-NSO hosts the Scouts from the three countries and bring them to a local community where the community development projects will take place.

For 2018, the Scouts stayed at a community development centre in Gongguan. They volunteered in different community work and interacted with the residents. There were also cultural exchanges and a sharing of each of their country’s history.

The seventh instalment of the project will be hosted by the Korea Scout Association in 2019.
