Call for themes
Following the tradition from similar events in the past the themes addressed during the event will be based on suggestions coming from participants, including the sharing of best practices and how challenges are addressed.
If you plan to attend the event and would be willing to cover a specific theme, run a relevant session or feel there is the needs for a particular session, please get in touch with the europe@scout.org and europe@wagggs.org

This networking event for Chief Volunteers (or equivalent) of National Scout Organisations/National Scout Associations of WOSM and Member Organisations/Component Associations of WAGGGS in Europe, builds on similar events in the past and on networking events held at Regional Conferences when there was a clear desire to find opportunities for these important volunteers to share and mix with their peers. It is a non-formal opportunity to share experiences and strategies, networking and chances to make new contacts and find mutual support.

More detailed information will be made available later in the year.

NCIENT MASTER VOLUNTEERS. I AM ONE OF THEM
It was nice to hear another European level activity on Volunteerism: It made a film sprit in my mind all along the years from ,I m assigned to a post in Ankara in 1980 After leaving my job in a shipyard. Ankara seems like a land locked town away from the sea. Wrong!, I started model boating and sea culture activities with children in Ankara. We created a children club and named after Kemal Reis( An Ottoman admiral). The sea scout discovered us in a model boat regatta with an exhibition and we joined the scouting. I like it and became IC in a couple years. I started a newsletter and passed almost every activity in Europe including all official documents on Peace and volunteerism. Designed programs on Community service, Youth service challenges awards and more Plus it was a fun for me to prepare action files on all important UN days years and projects on peace and volunteerism. Now I have piles of documents with about a terabyte made to our youth. It is a good archive but t very simple compared to European office ( a couple years before I asked them a report of first Euro folk and received full answer in a few days).
My interested point based mostly on following projects and events in Europe
Change in European scouting after political change in Eurasia and scouting’s volunteer and professional work to make it happen a big change in European Scouting
Europe passport program, later Lands of Adventure Project
1993 Bosnia Crises 1993-1998
1999 Kosovar Crises
1999 Marmara Earth quake disaster
1999 WOSM UNESCO Peace Cruise
2001 volunteer year
2003 Earthquake in Algiers European cooperation
2004 Haiti Storm and earthquake after European cooperation
2004 Tsunami European cooperation
2005 Pakistan Earthquake i European cooperation
I have all of those memories. I don’t know That I am eligible to take part in this meeting or not as a WOSM MOP messengers of peace hero, But I love to make an 30 minute bingo game ( it is like a ppt show where slides used instead of numbers . And scouts given token when they answer first on certain questions . At the and the scouts with most correct answer and the first ones who get full of photos on his/her bingo card)
The second thing İn my mind is making posters and postcards on UN FAO YUNGA projects ( best volunteerism example on ECO training volunteerism and international Children Peace Prize program. #KidsRights
Thank you
