Handbook on Financial Resources Management and Development

This booklet is a resource for the financial management of a National Scout Organization (NSO). It provides principles that enable NSOs to develop their own strategies and procedures for the effective management of their financial resources. It does not attempt to set out matters of policy and procedures of managing finances within a NSO as such requirements often vary from country to country.

Image of Scouting in the Asia-Pacific Region

The World Organization of the Scout Movement Asia-Pacific Region did an image study of Scouting in the Region in 2000 and has deemed it important to repeat it in 2008. This study describes the image of Scouting in the APR as perceived by 7,103 or 83% of the expected Scouts/Scout Leaders, non-Scouts/Scout Leaders, and parents of Scouts.

24th APR Scout Conference Report

A 128-page report of all of the important moments of the 24th Asia-Pacific Regional Scout Conference held on 24-29 November 2012, in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

The Conference had more than 425 participants and guests from 25 NSOs in the Asia-Pacific Region, with guests from Africa, Arab, Inter-America, Europe and Eurasia. A number of World Scout Committee members were present, including the Chairperson Mr Simon Rhee, Secretary General Luc Panissod and Secretary General designate Scott Teare.

APR Constitution & By-Laws

Further amendments were introduced during the 17th Asia- Pacific Regional Scout Conference held in Jakarta, Indonesia in November 1992, then at the 21st Asia-Pacific Regional Scout Conference held in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam in December 2004. The latest amendments were adopted at the 24th APR Scout Conference in Dhaka, Bangladesh in November 2012.

Handbook for Leaders of the Scout Section

The creation of this book is to help Scout Leaders in using the Scout Method adaptable to the varying needs of young people within the Scout Movement. Included in this book are great number of photographs and illustrations of activities, making it very attractive and easy to understand. The book is published by the Inter-American Region and copies are available in World Scout Bureau/Asia-Pacific Regional office.

Asia-Pacific at 50

This 150-page publication is produced to commemorate the 50 years of Scouting in the Asia-Pacific Region. This is book is a pride of the region as it sums up its achievements over the past 50 years.

APR Plan 2012-2015

The leaders finally agreed and adopted this statement “By 2020, Scouting in the Asia Pacific Region is recognized as the preferred and leading educational youth movement offering relevant programme in all segments of society.” To achieve the Vision, they decided five strategic priorities for 2012-2015: Young People, Adults, Management, Finance and Scouting Profile.
