Registration open for world’s largest digital Scout event, JOTA-JOTI
World Scouting has officially opened registration and launched a fully redesigned platform for JOTA-JOTI (Jamboree-on-the-Air-Jamboree-on-the-Internet), the world’s largest digital Scout event promoting friendship and citizenship education. This year, JOTA-JOTI will take place online and over the airwaves from 18-20 October, connecting more than 2.5 million Scouts from over 170 member countries.
The educational event is open to Scouts around the world, engaging young people in a dynamic programme that enables them to learn about communications technology and the values of global citizenship. By connecting at any time during the three-day event, Scouts and leaders can take part in activities focused on 21st century skills that can be developed through Scouting over the Internet and amateur radio.
This year, JOTA-JOTI has undergone several new developments to maximise the experience for young people and involve them in an exciting interactive programme that includes Crowdcasts, online Scout talks, and sessions with global partners. Participants can also tune into JOTI Radio or JOTI.TV throughout the event to connect with other Scouts and watch programmes.
A newly launched registration system allows participants to sign up as a Scout group or as an individual Scout from any location around the world. It is now accessible through the newly redesigned digital JOTA-JOTI platform that serves as a one-stop hub for information, events, and activities. The new JOTA-JOTI badge is available for purchase through the official World Scout Shop.
Everyone taking part in the 2019 JOTA-JOTI will be provided with Safe from Harm information, which is about staying safe on the Internet and will ensure all young people have a positive and inclusive JOTA-JOTI experience.
JOTA-JOTI is one of World Scouting’s longest-running global events dating back more than 60 years to 1958. The educational digital event has seen steady annual growth in participation over the years and looking to the future, aims to reach three million participants by 2021.

There is multiple ways to participate. Perhaps your scoutgroup have a local event or a group nearby have it. One way is via IRC. For more information on how to participate via IRC please visit scoutlink.net

I love JOTA-JOTI so much
Hi Dear scout Iam from pakistan iam good scout Lake JOTA JOTI
Hope this year will be better than last year. Please, do not include the JID Codes, because thats origins mess, than a conversational joti around the world. The JID codes only origins troubles, a lot of mess, and does not favor the scout spirit during the activities of JOTA JOTI. Thanks.
