One day in the autumn of 1977 a class mate invited me to join him at a meeting of the local Scout & Guide Group in Vienna. Since that evening I have never left the Scout Movement.
I grew up as Scout, Explorer and Rover in "Pfadfindergruppe Wien 58" in Vienna, Austria (Pfadfinder anund Pfadinderinnen Österreichs), and one day, while still Rover, our then Group Scout Leader invited me to join the Cub Leader Team as Assistant Leader. For more than ten years I was responsible Leader in the Scout and later Scout & Guide Troup, Group Scout Leader and active on district level and member of a national project team developing a toolkit on the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
For a number of years, following the 1993 UN Human Rights Conference, I served WOSM as volunteer permanent representative to the United Nations Office in Vienna (UNOV), including as co-facilitator of a workshop during the UN World Youth Forum 1996, which was hosted in Vienna, Austria.
Having moved to Switzerland in 1998, I joined a project group on integration and inclusion of the Mouvement Scout de Suisse and helped create a toolkit.
In 2010 I joined the European Scout Office of the World Scout Bureau as Executive Assistant to the Regional Director, a position I still hold today.
