A dedicated international professional, Andres has supported NGOs, UN agencies, Governments and International Organizations in their efforts towards ensuring and advocating for the rights of children and young people and educational initiatives across Asia-Pacific, Africa, Americas, Middle East and Europe. Andres’ core expertise is on programme development, non-formal education, project management and capacity building.
He has more than 8 years of experience in the management and monitoring of development projects in the areas of peacebuilding, sustainable development, cooperation and leadership in several countries including Egypt, Bolivia, Russia, India and Senegal and he has worked for training and humanitarian programmes in Jordan and Tunisia.
Andres has also significant experience in negotiation, international relations, developing information and educational materials, designing and delivering training as well as establishing and maintaining communities of practice with geographically-dispersed networks.
A certified adult trainer, he holds a master’s degree in International Negotiation and Policy Making from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva as well as specialized studies in education and young people from the Open University in the United Kingdom and advanced studies in nonviolent conflict from the Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy in Boston.
