100 Mangrove Trees Planting and Seeding, Rubbish Cleaning

This activities are carried out to rearrange, make good on the previous week planted trees. Beside that also to cleaning out the rubbish which trapped inside mangrove forest. After the rubbish had been clean up, the another 100 mangrove trees had planted into the same area. Otherwise of planting, team members also to seedling mangrove trees for future.

The team had been brief for 3rd week task before start of work. After briefing and preparation, team moved into targeted are to start for tasking. On early morning, the rubbish cleaning area focused on the place last time during SW Discovery and Area Planted by Exabytes Network Sdn Bhd. Total of 3 rubbish bag had carry inside forest to pack out every trash-able items.

2 team standing by at both location, one team loading at seedling site while one team unloading at planting site. After the trees unload from van, all need to carried into middle of mangrove area where that place suitable for planting.

After all the trees had been planted, the team separate around the previous week’s planting site to do settlement for planted trees. Some of the trees which had fall or incline, the team will need to re-positioning and to provide support to that. While for the plant which fail to grow will need to taken out and for record.

The seedling site is just near with the border of Penang State and Perak State. According to Mr Illias, the seedling site need to be strategic and where the tide can be reach so that that sea water will automatically to watering the young sapling.

Total of 100 poly bag of trees base and 100 trees had been seeded. Besides, species of trees seeded are Rhizophora apiculata (Pokok Bakau Minyak) and Bruguiera gymnorrhiza (Pokok Tumu Merah)
