The Tunisian Scouts Organization contributes to facing Covid-19 by entertaining children and their families

Despite the challenge that the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) faced like other organizations around the world due to the spread of Coronavirus (Covid-19), the Tunisian Scouts Organization was able to deal with that stage in the best possible way, as it overcame the difficult circumstances and its activities did not stop. The Tunisian Scouts Organization could deal with that crisis by adopting all precautions, preventive measures and health protocols to preserve the safety of everyone. In this vein, the Tunisian Scouts organized a program for scouts and their families to enjoy the magic of nature in “Bordj Cédria”, which was characterized by fun and spontaneity. Through the event, Tunisian Scouts were able to contribute to strengthening the psychological state of everyone, to eliminate the psychological and physical negative effects caused by the global pandemic, especially on children.

Tunisian Scouts celebrated the days of “childhood” and “youth” and implemented “future leaders” project and social initiatives. The Tunisian Scouts Organization requested nominations for volunteers wishing to work in the new Covid-19 vaccination centers, which amount to about 300 centers all over the country. Moreover, Tunisian Scouts also participated in cleaning schools in line with the National Campaign for Cleaning Educational Institutions”.

On the other hand, leader Khadija Al-Jaraya participated in the UNICEF Executive Board meeting, where she highlighted the efforts of Tunisian Scouts Organization with civil society in confronting Covid-19 global pandemic through the involvement of a large number of volunteers in various fields.
