The 15-th National Conference of HASK

The 15th National Conference of the National Scout Movement of Armenia “HASK” took place on March 28, 2015 in the central office of the organization. Official guests from ministries and other state establishments, brothers and sisters from all the chapters and branches of HASK were present at the Conference. Iurie Emilian, Eurasia Regional Director, was among the honorary guests.

During his welcome speech, Serzh Srapionyan, Deputy Minister of Diaspora of the Republic of Armenia, emphasized the role and importance of HASK from the standpoint of development of young people in becoming conscious and patriotic citizens. The role and contribution of the National Scout Movement of Armenia were also highly rated by the Ministry of Sport and Youth affairs. On behalf of the Minister, Narek Vanesyan-Head of the Department of Sport Organizations, Sports Medicine and Coordination of Scientific-methodological Activities, expressed their readiness to support our organization. Iurie Emilian, Director of the Eurasia Regional Bureau welcomed the attendees and wished them success in their activities and new achievements.

The official part was followed be the usual procedure of the Conference during which the current Central Board represented its report on biannual activities. Later the attendees made their proposals for the upcoming two years and elected the new Central Board of HASK, which includes Hrachya Shmavonyan, Vicken Nazaryan, Berj Tufenkjian, Arthur Khachatryan, Gevorg Gasparyan, Lilit Zakaryan and Ruzan Tamrazyan. The newly elected Board held its first meeting right after the National Conference and elected Hrachya Shmavonyan as the new President of the National Scout Movement of Armenia.
