A Warmth Day for the Homeless in the City with Messengers of Peace

Collaborated with local partners, the Messengers of Peace team of Hong Kong visited homeless and grassroot residents of West Kowloon before the Winter comes. With the support and coordination of the renowned social enterprise Pei Ho (Ming Gor) Charity Foundation Limited and its founder Mr CHAN, Cheuk-ming, the team reached 300 members/families of the community during the visit and offered them gifts, biscuits and cookies. Mr Chan shared his vision with the team and encouraged the team to pay special attention to the needs of the grassroot. Miss Ann Choi, the coordinator of the project and Assistant Leadership Training Institute Commissioner of Hong Kong said the success of the project was largely depends on the collaboration of the community partners and encouraged the participants seize every chance to serve our communities by linking up various local partners. Mr Kwan-hung Lau, Headquarters Commissioner of International  Branch concurred and supplemented that there are unlimited needs in our neighborhood which means there are same unlimited service opportunities waiting for us, the Scout Messengers of Peace, to address to. The team committed to provide further support to the West Kowloon community and will visit them again later this year.
