Taiwan wins bid to host the 27th APR Scout Conference
Delegates of the 26thAsia-Pacific Regional Scout Conference unanimously voted to hold the 27thAsia-Pacific Regional Scout Conference (2021) in Taiwan. Winning bidder Scouts of China was unchallenged.
The Scouts of China has proposed to hold the 2021 conference in Taipei with the theme, “Scouting: Integrated Versatility,” reflecting the Asia-Pacific Region’s focus on diversity and inclusion, as well as its efforts to achieve the collective goals of the region and of the different National Scout Organizations.
The next conference is expected to be held from the 25thto 30thof October 2021 at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Centre (TaipeiEx), an imposing purpose-built exhibition complex in Nangang District, Taipei. Participants will be billeted at The Courtyard by Marriott Hotel (Courtyard Taipei) located at a very convenient place where the Taiwanese railway system meet.
The conference registration rates are pegged at USD 320.00 for delegates and observers, USD 300.00 for the accompanying persons programme, and USD 125.00 for youth participants.
Delegates also decided to award the hosting of the 32ndAsia-Pacific Regional Scout Jamboree (2021) to the Bangladesh Scouts. The Jamboree will be held from the 11thto 19thof December 2021 at Patenga, Chittagong. The Jamboree site faces the Bay of Bengal.
