Awareness Campaign on Good Samaritan law and Golden hour response

Awareness Campaign on Good Samaritan law and Golden hour response.

As per GLOBAL STATUS REPORT ON ROAD SAFETY 2015 - 2,07,551 deaths are happening due to Road accidents in India. which means, around 24 death every hour i.e., One death in every 2.5mins.

80% of road accident victims in India i.e.,1,66,041 persons/year, do not receive any emergency medical care within the critical first hour after anaccident. (Study by the Indian Journal of Surgery - 2006)

According to the Law Commission of India, 50% fatalities can be averted if victims get even basic care on time. That's more than 83,000 lives!

To bring awareness about the above facts, Thozhan an NGO conducted a mass road safety awareness program across 72 corporation parks in Chennai on 5th August 2018.

My self and our group 13 Rovers are take charge of officers colony Park and create awarness to general public about Good Samaritan law and Golden hour response. (Road safety rules & first aid)

Awareness about the Good Samaritan law and the steps to do during the golden hour after the accident was conveyed to the public at all the 72 locations simultaneously.
