Great news!!
Scouting Ireland are recruiting a young person under the age of 26 to become the first ever Programme Commissioner for Youth Empowerment!
"The Chief Commissioner (Youth Programme) is delighted to see the appointment of the first Programme Commissioner for Youth Empowerment and looks forward to working with the new Commissioner and to seeing our youth representation continue to improve.
The Programme Commissioner for Youth Empowerment will be the main contact for Youth Representatives to ensure that Scouting Ireland is at the top of its game on all youth issues." - Scouting Ireland - Chief Commissioner Youth Programme, Ian Davy
It's only open to applicants who are registered members of Scouting Ireland, but we are delighted to see initiatives like this happening. Recently appointed Hannah Kentish, UK Youth Commissioner is already making a huge impact. It is great to see National Scout Organisations taking Young Involvement, Participation, and Empowerment so seriously!
